เครื่อง server linux ที่ใช้อยู่มี mrtg graph ไว้สำหรับดูปริมาณ traffic ที่วิ่งรวมถึงทรัพยากรต่างๆ ของเครื่องซึ่งง่ายมากมาย เพราะว่าส่วนมากจะมี Auto Script ในการ Config ค่าต่างๆ ให้เสมอแต่ใน windows xp ที่ผมต้องการทำให้ haleserver มี mrtg graph มันยากมากมายไหม ซึ่งในส่วนของ windows ขั้นแรกที่ผมจะแนะนำวันนี้คือการลง SNMP สำหรับ windowsสำหรับการลงนั้นไม่ยากเลยครับทำตามนี้ได้เลย

• Click on Start | Settings | Control Panel.
• Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
• Click on Add/Remove Windows Components.
• Click on Management and Monitoring Tools and click on Details.
• Check Simple Network Management Protocol and click OK.
• Click on Next and let the install process complete

เมื่อลงในส่วนของ services เรียบร้อยแล้วในส่วนถัดไปคือการเพิ่ม public เพื่อให้ mrtg เข้าใช้งาน

• Select “Control Panel”
• Double-click “Adminstrative Tools”
• Double-click “Services”
• Find and Right-Click “SNMP Service”
• Click “Properties” and the SNMP Service properties window will open
